Hi everyone, Squid here. Today, I'll share how I managed to deal 25M in damage against Malinus on difficulty IV. I. About Rules and the Boss
1. Event Rules

The 3 images above sum up the rules of this event. Here's a breakdown for you:
①Malinus comes in 4 difficulty levels. Before you can unlock the next difficulty, you'll have to deal enough damage in the previous difficulty. Also, your player character must be high enough. When fighting Malinus on difficulty III and difficulty IV, there is a special rule as you can get buffs that improve your damage output and survivability. This special rule rotates every week.
②By fighting Malinus on each difficulty, you can claim rewards based on how much damage you deal. A higher difficulty level yields better rewards.
③You can record your damage dealt only once per day. Once you've recorded it, you can claim rewards. Even after you've recorded the damage dealt, you can continue to fight the boss. 2. Boss Skill

See the image above for the boss skills: The boss is at level 170 and has 260 Resistance, so it is best if your heroes have 280 Accuracy. Skill #1: Deals Lightning Damage to all enemies. Skill #2: Deals massive Lightning Damage to the enemy with the highest HP. Also, deals bonus damage based on the Max HP of that enemy. Skill #3: Deals Lightning Damage to all enemies and inflicts a Lv.1 debuff that reduces 30% DEF. Skill #4: Deals Lightning Damage to all enemies and gains a stackable buff. With each stack, this boss deals 5% more overall damage. The buff lasts until the battle is over, and it cannot be blocked or dispelled. At 150 buff stacks, the boss ignores Immortality and Invincibility and gains Resurrection Block. Skill #5: Becomes immune to control effects and Ultimate Down. II. Configuration, Lineup Recommendations, and Positioning
Given the boss skills mentioned above, we'll have to build our lineup around them to achieve the damage milestone. Here are some of my suggestions: 1. Your tank should have the ability to provide AoE healing and increase the DEF of multiple allies to share the burden of your healer. 2. It's best to have 3 DPS heroes since our goal is to deal 15M damage. The longer the fight lasts, the more buffs the boss will stack, which will put you at a disadvantage. 3. It's best that your support hero can provide Shield to all allies, increase the DEF of all allies, or heal all allies to ensure survivability. Tips: The boss's 3rd skill can inflict a debuff on all heroes to reduce their DEF, but according to the special rule this week, so long as there is a hero on the team who can provide sustained healing, the debuff can be removed. Based on the factors mentioned above, I put together 4 lineups, each associated with a different faction. See below for details:
①Ice Blast

See below for the positioning and final damage output:

This lineup can deal massive damage to single targets. As you can see, the main DPS Beldelle takes up almost 70% of the team's overall damage output, which means the other heroes just have to focus on keeping her alive and supplying her with enough Ice Crystals, and you can sit back and relax while the AFK mechanic does its work.
②Burn

See below for the positioning and final damage output:

Aschetius is hands down the main DPS of this lineup. Without heroes providing DEF bonuses, the team somewhat lacks survivability. Another downside is that Burn heroes aren't good at dealing massive damage to single targets.
③Dauntless

See below for the positioning and final damage output:

As for the Aura, you can go with Nasjenka's 30% Team ATK bonus. This lineup has slightly weaker survivability, but it's still enough to handle this boss thanks to its ability to deal 11M damage per minute.
④Rally

See below for the positioning and final damage output:

While using this lineup, the game lasted until almost hitting the 9-minute mark, at which point the boss had reached 140 stacks, and that goes to show just how powerful the supports' Damage Reduction can be. III. Summary
This boss deals massive damage, so if you have limited resources to spare, you will want to prioritize using heroes with great survivability, such as tanks or supports. This is because any lineup that lacks defensive capabilities will not last long in this battle. Also, you'll want to push the levels, hero inspirations, and skill levels to the maximum. Among the four lineups mentioned above, the Ice Blast lineup isn't the one with the greatest survivability, but it deals the most damage. We can see that this Ice Blast lineup excels at dealing massive damage to single targets, which makes it a good choice for taking down tough enemies. As for the Burn lineup, though its survivability ranks number two, it lacks damage output because it heavily relies on the burst damage dealt by Aschetius' ultimate skill to keep up with the damage output, and it requires high-end gear, rendering the two back-row DPS heroes less useful. However, the Burn lineup isn't all flaws. When facing non-boss stages, the Burn lineup still comes in handy as Aschetius' ultimate skill is good at clearing out multiple mobs. The Rally lineup survived almost 9 minutes, and that shows just how powerful of a support Felosia is. This lineup is definitely number one at defending in the current patch. Boosted by the Artifact, it's fair to say that this lineup is as hard as a rock. The downside is that Rally heroes heavily rely on their buffs to deal damage, and they will be crippled without those buffs. When fighting this boss, I do not recommend Summon heroes because there is very limited space for the Undead Creatures. I gave it a test and realized once the Undead Creatures were summoned, they got stuck in place and couldn't move, missing the golden opportunity to deal massive damage. Alright. That's about it for this guide. I'll see you next time!
