Guide - Season 2 Once More Unto Battle of Two Towers on [Difficulty 4]

Once you've reached Lv.35 and cleared the three difficulties of Once More Unto Tales of Forest, you can unlock Difficulty 4.
This difficulty level promises richer rewards and presents a challenge in both stages. It requires having well-developed main tanks. Having shield-breaking heroes on the team makes the Boss's shield easier to handle in the second stage. This guide focuses on how to clear this difficulty level with a less-developed lineup comprised of easily obtainable rare/epic heroes.

I. Configurations and Preparations

[Configurations]
Recommended Level
You can attempt Difficulty 4 when the overall level of your team is about 90, with the difference being ① the strength of the heroes on your team, ② the quality and Refinements of your equipment, and ③ the countering attributes of your lineup or individual heroes.
Equipment Requirements
Try to equip all heroes with epic four-piece equipment at max Refinements (+16). The equipment can be adjusted according to the team's overall hero strength and levels.
Key Attributes
If you deploy only one main tank, ensure they have over 70,000 HP and more than 2,000 DEF.
On average, your heroes should have over 35,000 HP and over 1,000 DEF.
The debuff heroes should have over 170 Accuracy.

Food Improvement
Given the survival challenges in this difficulty level, we recommend you use [Aquitaine Meat Pie], which is made of Elf Wheat ×2 and Wild Boar Meat ×1. It can give you +10% HP and +5% ATK for 600 seconds.
Artifact Selection
Prioritize equipping high-Accuracy debuff heroes with Crown of the Unclean or Witch's Remains to inflict Defense Penalty on the Boss. This will help you clear the difficulty level faster.

II. Recommended Lineups and Positioning

Lineup 1
Lineup: Horrus + Brody + Follie + Zhar'loth + Meggan
Positioning Reference:
The front-row combination of Horrus and Brody can easily withstand the onslaught of Abyssal Tentacles in Stage 1; Brody's shield-breaking ability effectively counters the Boss's mechanics in Stage 2, while Zhar'loth and Meggan provide healing. This lineup offers a more stable success rate when you don't have a powerful build.

Recommended Legendary Heroes:

Lineup 2

Lineup: Frurbath + Heksandra + Sigrid + Corrin + Horace
Positioning Reference:
For this difficulty level, 170 Accuracy is sufficient, and Frurbath can easily achieve that with proper equipment. Pairing him with Sigrid allows you to continuously inflict Attack Penalty.
However, if your damage output is limited and breaking the Boss's shield in Stage 2 proves too difficult, consider replacing Sigrid with Shook for greater shield-breaking capabilities.

III. Examples

*Here, we'll give an example of lineup #2 where the heroes are all equipped with rare/epic equipment at max Refinements (+16). You can substitute them with various high-quality heroes based on your own needs, and the overall strength can easily go much higher.

Team Aura
Here, we opt for Frurbath's Defense Aura to increase the team's survivability. The Enlightenment Aura is not recommended as it offers little damage benefit to this lineup.
Positioning
Maintain a tight formation to ensure all heroes are within the range of healing skills.

Stage 1
  1. Use the combination of Corrin and Horace to quickly eliminate most Abyssal Tentacles, thereby reducing the survival pressure on your tanks.
  1. Inflict Attack Penalty on most of the buffed enemies immediately after the Chaos Serf casts its second skill.
  1. The Chaos Serf summons Abyssal Tentacles at random locations. When those tentacles appear in large numbers in your back row, eliminating them should be your priority.
  1. Abyssal Tentacles - Ranged inflicts the Attack Penalty debuff. DPS heroes should avoid using their ultimate skills when under this debuff.
  1. Since Sigrid's ultimate skill targets all enemies under debuffs, it'd be a good idea to use Frurbath's ultimate skill to inflict AOE Attack Penalty on enemies, which can be further combined with poison damage from DPS heroes. This strategy allows Sigrid to inflict Attack Penalty on almost all Abyssal Tentacles and hit them with substantial AOE damage.

Stage 2
  1. Alternate between Frurbath's and Sigrid's ultimate skills to maintain Attack Penalty on the enemy.
  2. Keep all allies' HP above 50% with healing skills before the Boss uses its third skill. This is to avoid being inflicted with Charmed.
  3. If the Boss's shield is broken before it uses its last skill, the Boss will suffer from Weak, becoming more vulnerable to damage. This is the best moment for your damage dealers to cast their ultimate skills.
  4. If breaking the shield proves too difficult, try to inflict Attack Penalty on the Boss before it casts its last skill, and then, as soon as the Stun debuff ends, use Heksandra's ultimate skill for AOE healing.
  5. Control skills can be effectively used as a means to break the Boss's shield.
When we tested this build, the demo team completed this difficulty level in just 4 minutes. When breaking the shield proves too much of a challenge, try replacing Sigrid with Shook. This will slow down the overall pace but can ensure more reliable shield-breaking capabilities. Deploying even stronger heroes can further reduce the level and equipment requirements.
