Guide - Season 2 Once More Unto Finale of Plains on [Difficulty 3]
Once you've reached Lv.35 and cleared the first two difficulties of Once More Unto Finale of Plains, you can unlock Difficulty 3.
This difficulty level offers better rewards but demands greater survivability from heroes. You'll need adequate stats and equipment to succeed. This guide focuses on how to clear this difficulty level with a less-developed lineup comprised of easily obtainable rare/epic heroes.
I. Configurations and Preparations
[Configurations]
● Recommended Level
You can attempt Difficulty 3 when the overall level of your team is about 90, with the difference being ① the strength of the heroes on your team, ② the quality and Refinements of your equipment, and ③ the countering attributes of your lineup or individual heroes.
● Equipment Requirements
Try to equip all heroes with epic four-piece equipment at max Refinements (+16). The equipment can be adjusted according to the team's overall hero strength and levels.
● Key Attributes
On average, your heroes should have over 38,000 HP and over 1,200 DEF.
The debuff heroes should have over 220 Accuracy.
If you're planning on fending off the Boss's Control skills by building Resistance, you should aim for over 240 Resistance for your main tanks.
[Battle Preparation]
● Food Improvement
Given the survival challenges in this difficulty level, we recommend you use [Aquitaine Meat Pie], which is made of Elf Wheat ×2 and Wild Boar Meat ×1. It can give you +10% HP and +5% ATK for 600 seconds.
● Artifact Selection
Prioritize equipping high-Accuracy debuff heroes with Crown of the Unclean or Witch's Remains to inflict Defense Penalty on the Boss. This will help you clear the difficulty level faster.
● Boss Skills and Counter Strategies
II. Recommended Lineups and Positioning
Lineup 1
Lineup: Garius + Catherine + Gulal + Gerthin + Bleddyn
Positioning Reference:
As demonstrated, position your heroes in a way that minimizes AOE damage. Also, try to place Gerthin, Garius, Bleddyn, and Gulal's summoned units within the healing range of Catherine's ultimate skill to ensure safe damage output.
Recommended Legendary Heroes:
Lineup 2
Lineup: Frurbath, Heksandra, Shook, Iola, and Shagrol
Positioning Reference:
The positioning strategy here is similar to that of lineup #1. If Frurbath has adequate Resistance, pairing him with either Shook or Iola will allow you to continuously inflict Attack Penalty on the Boss. In this case, you may choose to replace one of them with another damage dealer or healer.

III. Examples
*Here, we'll give an example of lineup #1 where the heroes are all equipped with rare/epic equipment at max Refinements (+16). You can substitute them with various high-quality heroes based on your own needs, and the overall strength can easily go much higher.
● Team Aura
Here, we go with Garius' DEF Aura to allow more room for mistakes. If your team is more well-developed, you can consider changing it to offensive Auras so you can clear stages faster.
● Positioning
Spread out your heroes. The Boss's skill [Rockfall] deals damage to the targets' surroundings. Placing the heroes too close together might lead to a team wipeout.
● Stage 1
1. Gulal's ultimate skill has a long cooldown, so try to inflict Attack Penalty before the Boss's first or third skill, depending on the situation.
2. Use the ultimate skills of Gulal, Bleddyn, and Gerthin in that order for maximum damage.
3. After the Boss casts its first two skills, use Catherine's ultimate skill to heal the front row.
4. After the Boss casts its third skill, use Garius's ultimate skill to heal all allies.
● Stage 2
1. When down to 1/3 and 2/3 HP, the Boss summons 2 amethysts and resonates with one of them. The Boss becomes invincible while the resonated target is alive, which is identifiable by its glow as shown in the picture.
2. Save Bleddyn's and Gerthin's ultimate skills for right before the Boss summons amethysts. Quickly target and kill the resonated target once it's summoned.
3. For the other skills, just use the same skill rotation strategy as in Stage 1.
● Stage 3
1. The early part of Stage 3 is relatively easy. Auto-combat will suffice before the Boss uses its penultimate skill.
2. Don't use any ultimate skills right after the Boss casts its penultimate skill. Once the Boss finishes absorbing, immediately use Gulal's ultimate skill to weaken its attacks.
3. In the final stage, alternate between Catherine's and Garius's ultimate skills to ensure the team's survival.
4. When you are about to lose allies, use the Control Skill to try and save them.
When we tested this build, the demo team had plenty of time at its disposal. But hero survival was crucial, and there was little pressure on the damage output. Deploying even stronger heroes can further reduce the level and equipment requirements.
