Guide - Season 2 Once More Unto Tales of Forest on [Difficulty IV]

Once you've reached Lv.35 and cleared the three difficulties of Once More Unto Tales of Forest, you can unlock Difficulty 4.
This challenge offers more rewards. Due to the simple mechanics of this dungeon, the key is deploying heroes that can break Shield to better handle the boss's second phase as the boss gains lots of Shield. Other than that, this is pretty much a walk in the park. Once your heroes are well-developed enough, you can clear the stage with ease. This guide focuses on how to clear this difficulty level with a less-developed lineup comprised of easily obtainable rare/epic heroes.

I. Configurations and Preparations

Configurations
Recommended Level
You can play the stage when the overall level of your team is about 90, with the difference being ① the strength of the heroes on your team, ② the quality and Refinements of your equipment, and ③ the countering attributes of your lineup or individual heroes.
Equipment Requirements
Try to equip all heroes with epic four-piece equipment at max Refinements (+16). The equipment can be adjusted according to the team's overall hero strength and levels.
Key Attributes
On average, your heroes should have over 35,000 HP and over 1,000 DEF.
The debuff heroes should have over 170 Accuracy.

[Battle Preparation]
Food Improvement
Given the survival challenges at this difficulty level, we recommend you use [Aquitaine Meat Pie], which is made of Elf Wheat ×2 and Wild Boar Meat ×1. It can give you +10% HP and +5% ATK for 600 seconds.
Artifact Selection
Prioritize equipping high-Accuracy debuff heroes with Crown of the Unclean or Witch's Remains to inflict Defense Penalty on the Boss. This will help you clear the difficulty level faster.

II. Recommended Lineups and Positioning

Lineup 1
Lineup: Horrus, Brody, Tonalnan, Alfie, Meggan
Positioning Reference:
Put heroes together so they all receive healing. This can also help them avert the boss's first phase skill one time.

Recommended Legendary Heroes:

Lineup 2

Lineup: Frurbath, Heksandra, Shook, Iola, and Shagrol
Positioning Reference:
Put heroes together so they all receive healing. This can also help them avert the boss's first phase skill one time.
For this difficulty level, 170 Accuracy is sufficient, and Frurbath can easily achieve that with proper equipment.

Recommended Legendary Heroes:

III. Examples

*Here, we'll give an example of lineup #2 where the heroes are all equipped with rare/epic equipment at max Refinements (+16). You can substitute them with various high-quality heroes based on your own needs, and the overall strength can easily go much higher.

Team Aura
We picked Shagrol's Attack Speed Aura to clear the stage faster.
Positioning
Put these heroes together. Since the boss's first two skills in phase one only target one side of the board, your heroes can completely evade one of the two attacks. Also, putting heroes together ensures that they all receive healing.
The Minion Phase
1. By putting Shagrol in the back row, you can evade the first wave of damage coming from the minions.
2. After the minions on the right use their skill to inflict Defense Penalty on allies, follow up with Enna's ultimate skill to remove that debuff.
3. Let Shook and Frurbath take turns using their ultimate skills so enemies are always inflicted with Attack Penalty.

The First Boss Phase
1. Let Shook, Schaltar, and Shagrol take turns to use their ultimate skills to maximize the damage output.
2. Before the boss's second skill, use Shook and Frurbath's ultimate skill to inflict Attack Penalty on the boss.
3. After the boss's second skill inflicts Attack Penalty on allies, follow up with Enna's ultimate skill to remove that debuff.
4. If your heroes' HP is too low, after the boss's third skill, you can delay the killing of phantoms so that more healing is given to allies.
5. After killing the phantoms, follow up with Shook and Frurbath's ultimate skills to inflict Attack Penalty.

The Second Boss Phase
1. Let Shook and Frurbath take turns using their ultimate skills so enemies are always inflicted with Attack Penalty.
2. After the boss's second skill, reserve Shook's ultimate skill to break Shield after the boss's third skill.
3. As for Enna, you don't have to reserve her ultimate skill. Once it has cooled down, use it to keep the heroes healthy.
4. When you are about to lose allies, use the Control Skill to try and save them.

When we tested this build, the demo team completed this difficulty level in just 2.5 minutes, but the DPS heroes struggled to survive. You can replace Enna with Heksandra or other heroes that provide great healing even though doing so will slow down the combat pace. Deploying even stronger heroes can further reduce the level and equipment requirements.
