In this season, the Heretical Ruins boss has a new passive skill effect: For every Dead Phoenix Nestling on the battlefield, the boss gains Damage Reduction. Every time a Dead Phoenix Nestling dies, the boss takes massive damage.
Additionally, the boss's Nirvana skill can deal damage to all enemies, and the Invisibility effect can no longer be dispelled or blocked.
In this article, we'll walk you through the more easily accessible rare/epic hero lineups, aiming at guiding you to clear the stage on difficulty #9.
Meanwhile, we'll give you a legendary hero lineup for reference, which you can use for auto-combat.

● Recommended Level
It is recommended that you try this when the overall level of your team goes over 90.
● Equipment Requirements
This stage requires you to have high damage output. You should do your best to give legendary gear at max Refinements (+20) to your DPS heroes to ensure the damage output.
As for the other heroes, you can give them epic gear at max Refinements (+16). The gear can be adjusted according to the team's overall hero strength.

IV. Examples
*Here, we'll give an example of lineup #2 where the DSP and healer heroes should equip legendary equipment at max Refinements (+20) while tank and support heroes should equip epic gear at max Refinements (+16). Depending on the heroes you have, you can substitute the heroes in this lineup with higher-rarity heroes to boost the overall strength.
● Team Aura
We used Gerthin's Attack Aura to boost the damage output.
● Food Improvement
When your team is not fully fledged, your heroes will have trouble surviving, so we recommend you use [Aquitaine Meat Pie], which is made of Elf Wheat ×2 and Wild Boar Meat ×1. It can give you +10% HP and +5% ATK for 600 seconds.
● Stage Clearing Tips
1. Before the boss uses the third skill, use Gulal's ultimate skill to reduce the boss's two AoE damage instances.
2. Before the boss uses the fourth skill, use Catherine's ultimate skill to apply Debuff Immunity to all allies.
3. If Gerthin gets out of Catherine's ultimate skill range, you can use the ultimate skill to select mobs on the other side to reposition.
4. Use Gerthin's ultimate skill only after Bleddyn's ultimate skill to boost the damage output.
5. Save the control skills and Garius's ultimate skill for emergencies, such as when you are about to lose a member.
● Other Things to Note
1. Ideally, on average, your heroes should have over 35,000 HP and over 1,200 DEF.
2. Aim for around 80% Crit Rate on Bleddyn to ensure a steady supply of Ice Crystals.
3. Equip Gulal with Crown of the Unclean or Witch's Remains to inflict Defense Penalty on the boss and thus boost the team's damage.
4. The enemy target has 200 Resistance, so your heroes must have at least 220 Accuracy to make sure you can dispel the enemy's buffs and inflict debuffs on it.

Recommended Lineup
Lineup: Acilia + Gillian + Rose + Auster + Lossenia
Positioning Reference:
Lineup Analysis: Rose is a support hero who works perfectly well with a Radiance or Ice team in this season as she not only heals and inflicts Attack Penalty but also steadily triggers the effect of Witch's Remains to boost allies' damage output.
In Heretical Ruins, the enemies attack in a large range, and that's why you need Acilia and Gillian to remove Burn and provide enough AoE healing to significantly reduce the stage's AFK difficulty.
After the season 2 update, for every Dead Phoenix Nestling on the field, the boss gains Damage Reduction. Whenever a Dead Phoenix Nestling dies, deals massive damage to the boss, so we recommend you use Auster and Lossenia to deal sustained damage to all enemies.
Skill Timing:
Make sure to inflict Attack Penalty and apply Debuff Immunity to allies before the boss's fourth skill.
