[Sea Deity I] 2.4M Damage

时间:2024-01-04 16:29:56  来源:  作者:无冬西界/Tang
As usual, let's look at the results and configurations first: 1 Gold, 1 Purple, 3 Blues, Level 60, 2.4M in damage.

Boss Analysis
The boss has 5 skills, with three of them being crucial:

1. Universal Immunity
This single skill rules out the possibility of having heroes that can inflict Stun, Knock Up, or Ultimate Down, but the debuffs that reduce Attack and Defense still work. We need only about 15 Accuracy and not too much.

2. Murky Wave's Embrace

Each time this skill is used, the boss's damage is permanently increased by 5%. And due to [Universal Immunity], we cannot stop the boss from using skills. As a result, you'll have to choose between being resilient to damage or being able to deal lots of damage. When adjusting your lineup, pay attention to the number of buffs on the boss and the amount of damage dealt by the boss to see if you need more tanks or DPS.

Another note here. Feel free to give your heroes Immortality or Invincibility because no teams can sustain it when the boss has 150 stacks of buffs.

3. Call of Lightning

This skill is the biggest threat of all. With the buffs of [Murky Wave's Embrace] stacked up, this can instantly kill any unit, and it only targets the unit with the highest HP, so make sure to always keep your hero with the highest Defense at the highest HP because the longer that hero can tank [Call of Lightning], the more time you can buy for your other heroes to deal damage.

Lineup Management

Today, we'll talk about a lineup that has both Lightning and Poison heroes, which can also trigger the 5-character Affinity effects.

Tank: Gareth

This hero is almost impossible to kill. Theoretically, even [Call of Lightning] with 150 stacks of buff is unlikely to instantly kill him.
His passive [Frontier Resilience] can heal for 50% of the damage taken so long as that damage exceeds 20% of Max HP. What's most important about this is that the healing happens at the same time as the damage instance, which means it works as 50% Damage Reduction, and [Call of Lightning], with all those buffs, can easily deal damage that exceeds 20% of his Max HP.

His battle skill [Steady as He Goes], combined with the right set, can give him 60% DEF for 5 seconds every 10 seconds and reduce the enemy's damage dealt by 30% for 5 seconds. With both combined, this works as yet another 50% Damage Reduction. The only flaw about this hero is that you cannot control when to use his battle skill.

Ultimate Skill [Desolate Slash]: The 50% ATK Reduction may not seem much considering the enemy has numerous buffing stacks, but actually, [Murky Wave's Embrace] increases the damage percentage, while [Desolate Slash] reduces the Basic ATK, which means this takes away 50% of those buffs.

With the Damage Reduction effects of his passive skill and battle skill, Gareth finds it very easy to survive and stick to the battlefield. So, make sure to wait until the boss uses [Call of Lightning] before using his ultimate skill to further shield allies from damage.

Healer: Heksandra

We'll skip this part because Heksandra is a rare hero, which means it's very accessible to F2P players. So long as you have the 5-character Affinity effects available, she will deal enough healing for you.

DPS and Support: Yagnatz

The main DPS skill here is his passive skill, [Mutant Thrust]. For every 3 hits registered, it deals Lightning Damage one more time and increases Attack Speed by 25%. Even his battle skill and ultimate skill are considered basic attacks, so the buff of [Mutant Thrust] will always remain active.

He can act as a support because his ultimate skill takes only 16 seconds to charge. With the Artifact, Crown of the Unclean, he can reduce the boss's DEF by 30% for 10 seconds every 16 seconds, greatly boosting his allies' damage output.

Support and DPS: Vani

Her passive skill and battle skill can deal quite some damage, but the ATK Interval is 2.5 seconds, which means her damage output is somewhere around average. What we need is her ultimate skill, [Haste]. We'll get to that later.

Main DPS: Nastjenka

At max stacks, her passive skill, [Black Plume], increases Attack Speed by 50%. The key is that Attack Speed can convert to Crit Rate. Though it is hard to say how much of that is converted, so long as the conversion is there, it's enough reason for us to work towards 100% Crit Rate.

What's important about this hero is her ultimate skill, [Wild Beak], as it is our greatest DPS skill. It deals Lightning Damage one time, and then for the next 10 seconds, every time one of the 5 allies uses their basic attack on the target, there is a 40% chance to deal Lightning Damage again. This effect is doubled for Dauntless heroes, which means the chance is 80%. Also, all the damage instances after that will be determined by Nastjenka's attributes.

While [Wild Beak] is active, Nastjenka basically works like a Gatling gun. The image below shows just how great her damage can go. 9626 in damage with a critical hit? It's not rare because you can see this pretty much every 10 seconds.

Summary

Nastjenka's [Wild Beak] is the enabler for this build. Meanwhile, we have Vani's [Haste] that makes herself, Yagnatz, and Nastjenka faster, which will boost the damage output to the max.

And that's not all. What's more ridiculous about this build is that Yagnatz's battle skill and ultimate skill can trigger [Wild Beak], and Nastjenka's battle skill can also trigger [Wild Beak]. Hell, even [Wild Beak]'s own damage tick can trigger itself again. You'll see critical damage keep ticking on the screen.

Speaking of which, I should mention a trick here. Initially, [Haste] takes 12 seconds to charge, and [Wild Beak] takes 11 seconds to charge. After that, they both take 20 seconds to charge, which is why you should manually use both of these skills at the start of combat so you can maximize the damage output later on.

1. Team Positioning

Nastjenka and Gareth should stand in the front row. Make sure to put your heroes close to each other because Heksandra's ultimate skill has a limited range. If your heroes are too spread out, some of them won't get healed.

2. Equipment (All Refinement 12)

Regarding equipment, I find that Gareth is always the last hero to die, so try to add damage-dealing or support equipment and Artifacts to Gareth because he clearly needs DPS more than survivability.

3. Lineup Variants

If it's possible for you, you can replace Heksandra with Nathaniel and give Arcane Music Box to Nastjenka as her Artifact. This will further increase the damage output. The overall survivability for the whole team stays roughly the same, but Arcane Music Box can greatly boost the DPS of Nastjenka.
