The Foolproof Guide to Lunar Halo Shard Collection and Exchange
Hi everyone, Squid here. Today, I'm bringing you a guide on the Lunar Halo - Ardreth Exchange Event.
Part I: Event Details
1. Prizes The greatest prize of the event is Ardreth. After completing the event and collecting enough Lunar Halo Shards, you can exchange them for Ardreth in the shop on the event page.

Our main objective is to collect 200 Lunar Halo Shards and exchange them for Ardreth.
2. Shard Collection Methods
There are 3 methods to collect the shards, indicated in the bottom right of the image below.

I'll break down each method to help you quickly collect the shards and get Ardreth. Part II: Shard Collection and Exchange
1. Moonlight Dungeon Challenge As mentioned in the event introduction, points can be earned by challenging dungeons of various difficulties. The system awards points based on the dungeon's difficulty and your remaining time after clearance. Simply put, the quicker the clearance, the more points awarded.
The dungeons rotate 6 times and each lasts 4-5 days, starting with Grave of Venom. My guess is that the rotation will cycle through Grave of Venom, Grave of Curse, and Grave of Rot.

The Moonlight Dungeon rewards are divided into 10 tiers based on points earned, with a total of 1,650 points required. Each dungeon rotation offers up to 15 Lunar Halo Shards, summing up to 90 for all 6 rotations. I recommend tackling Difficulty 5, as it demands less from your lineup and equipment but still offers a decent points payout. Here's a versatile lineup that can clear all three dungeons in AFK mode:

Gear-wise, I recommend +16 purple equipment, blue Artifacts, and blue Runes. Let's do a quick math. Assuming it takes 2.5 minutes to clear a dungeon and you earn 36 points per run. To collect 15 Lunar Halo Shards per dungeon rotation, you need 1,650 points in total. That's approximately 46 runs (1,650 points / 36 points per run). So, 46 runs x 2.5 minutes per run = 115 minutes per rotation, which is 690 minutes, or 11.5 hours, for all 6 rotations. That averages to about 1.92 hours per rotation. With a stronger team, you can complete this even faster. 2. Summon to Get Shards

Now let's enter the hero summoning screen and use Heliolite Dice for hero summons. 5 summons in total grant 10 Lunar Halo Shards; 20 summons in total grant another 10 Lunar Halo Shards; 60 summons in total always grant 60 Lunar Halo Shards. Each summon via Heliote Dice requires 350 Wyrmarrows, so you'll need 21,000 (350x60) Wyrmarrows in total. Combining this with the dungeon challenge, you can collect a total of 150 Lunar Halo Shards—just 50 shy of acquiring Ardreth. 3. Continental Challenge

You need to challenge heroes scattered across the continent. There are 4 rounds in total, each featuring 6 heroes and lasting for 7 days. Note that once you score points against a hero, that hero will be locked, and you can't earn rewards from that hero in subsequent rounds. You can keep trying until you claim the rewards for challenging that hero. The number of Lunar Halo Shards you earn depends on the damage dealt to the challenged hero. There are 5 tiers: 1 shard for 200K damage; 2 shards for 3M damage; 3 shards for 7M damage; 4 shards for 11M damage; 5 shards for 22M damage. So, through this part of the event, you can earn a minimum of 24 shards (1 shard x 6 heroes x 4 rounds) and a maximum of 120 shards (5 shards x 6 heroes x 4 rounds).
Now I'm going to talk about the key rules and important Boss fight skills in Continental Challenge:

As shown in the red box above, each round of the event features 6 Bosses scattered across the continent. Each Boss takes an additional 100% damage from a corresponding element. For example, the element in the image above is Ice, but there are also Fire, Lightning, Radiance, Necrosis, and Poison.
Every hero you own can only be used once in each round of Continental Challenge. Also, you can only earn rewards once per round of Boss challenge. Once a challenge is completed and you press the Save button on the settlement screen, you will be deemed as having accepted the rewards for that challenge.
The third rule pertains to challenge points, which are recorded up to 3 times. The highest score prevails. You can choose to challenge only once, but you still get only one set of rewards. Points earned determine your ranking, with higher rankings yielding more additional rewards.

Now let's take a look at the Boss in detail.

The Boss is at Lv.240 with a Resistance of 260. Ideally, your heroes should have at least 280 Accuracy; otherwise, the success rate of inflicting debuffs on the Boss will be rather low.
In addition to having 3 basic skills as your heroes do, the Boss has 2 general skills:
1) Immunity to all Control effects, which makes heroes with Control skills less effective against the Boss. 2) After casting the ultimate skill, the Boss gains a 200% damage buff that is unstoppable, undispellable, and permanent.

Part III: Continental Challenge Tips and Hero Recommendations
Here are some Boss fight tips derived from what I've talked about so far: 1. Minimize the number of ultimate skills the Boss casts in a given time. 2. Improve your team's sustainability through AOE HP restoration, increased DEF, resurrection, etc. 3. Maximize DPS, and manually cast skills when necessary. For point 1, use heroes that can reduce the enemy's ultimate skill recharging speed. Recommended heroes include:

For point 2, use heroes with AOE healing skills or those that can provide AOE DEF boosts or AOE Shield to allies. Recommended heroes include:

For point 3, I recommend selecting primary damage dealers of each element. Without a main damage dealer at the core of the team, it's difficult to reach the second-tier damage level.

These are the heroes I recommend, but many others are also fit for purpose. Stay tuned for more hero insights from Squid! Part IV: Summary
The main challenge in the Lunar Halo - Ardreth Exchange Event lies in Continental Challenge. The first two parts are manageable, especially the first one, which doesn't demand much in terms of lineup or equipment and just requires time. However, these first two methods can only yield up to 150 Lunar Halo Shards, leaving a shortfall of 50 for getting the event hero Ardreth.
If you only achieve the minimum damage against each Continental Challenge Boss (200K), you'll only get 24 (1x4x6) Lunar Halo Shards. Combined with the shards from the first two methods, this makes 174 shards in total. The remaining 26 shards can be purchased from the event shop. You may buy 50 shards in total, with 10 shards per purchase, at a cost of 700 Dragon Crystals each.

For those looking for convenience, just skip the third part of the event and directly purchase the remaining 50 Lunar Halo Shards for 3,500 (700x5) Dragon Crystals. If you manage to achieve the second-tier damage level for each Boss, that would result in 48 Lunar Halo Shards (2x6x4). Along with the first 150, you'd only need 2 more, which can be obtained by spending just 700 Dragon Crystals. Reaching the second-tier damage level is quite easy with heroes that are above Lv.90 and fully equipped with +16 orange equipment. The lineup requirements aren't stringent either: having one or more main damage dealers should be enough. Third and higher damage tiers have more demanding requirements in terms of lineup and even hero inspiration, but it's not necessary to strive for these higher levels. As my tests suggest, after the 3rd ultimate skill cast from the Boss, the team's sustainability becomes a significant challenge. By the 5th ultimate skill cast, if the lineup isn't strong enough, it's likely to lead to a team wipe. Therefore, it's crucial to prioritize sustainability during lineup testing. To give an idea of the difficulty level, here's a screenshot from Squid just hitting the fourth-tier damage requirement.

That's it for this guide, but more updates and strategies from Squid will be coming, so stay tuned!
