Among the many lineups within the Pyromancy Clash theme, the Serpentemis-centered Toxin School stands out for its rapid clearing capabilities. This guide breaks down both deck building and practical gameplay strategies, offering players valuable insights for their matches.
Deck Selection
The strength of this playstyle lies in Serpentemis's ability to trigger Toxic Blast whenever the enemy is granted Toxin. When paired with Toxin School teammates, you can generate ample AoE damage output without relying on ultimate skills, rapidly reducing enemy numbers.
It is recommended to prioritize Sleight + Durango, as both heroes can grant Toxin to enemies from the onset. Especially when Sleight wields the Artifact Shell of Gilded Doom, the lineup can often reduce enemy numbers right at the start.
Once you have the three core lineup members, add Lothair and Twitch to activate the 5-Toxin Bond and push your damage ceiling higher. When editing your deck, consider including 1–2 additional Toxin School heroes as substitutes to ensure the 5-Toxin Bond can be triggered reliably in the midgame.
For remaining slots, Anneliesis is highly recommended to bolster the allied team with recharge, sustain, and Control. If Travelers don't have Anneliesis, consider deploying Gladys or other heroes with the Bard Bond to grant allies recharge and Shield. Alternatively, deploy Alaura or heroes with the Sorcerer Bond to grant Control to enemies.
If you have a surplus of Magichess Coins, once Serpentemis reaches 3 stars or higher and all other key members have been acquired, continue upgrading your population and add Thorgos, Aethereal, or Kurvida—heroes with powerful solo combat abilities.
Combat Tips
In high-difficulty stages of Tactical Adventure, defeating powerful opponents in the early phase is often challenging. Consider leveraging the newly introduced Treasure Hunt Talent from this season's theme. Use Treasure Hunt during the mid-game to acquire high-quality Relics and complete your comp, turning the tide in your favor.
Do not buy any pieces in the first three rounds. First, increase your population to 6. On the fourth round, when selecting Relics and activating Treasure Hunt Talent, you have a chance to directly obtain Mythic-quality Relics. Astral Orb is highly recommended. Its 20 seconds of Invincibility can support a Toxin lineup in eliminating most enemies.
If Astral Orb is unavailable, prioritize relics that boost damage, such as Tempered Darkblade or Dagger of Divine Blood. Note: Toxin School comps rely mainly on Enlightenment-based damage, so relics that increase Crit Damage are not recommended. Next, choose economic relics like Replication Pouch or Trickster's Pouch. Always use both Treasure Hunt Talents before purchasing units to maximize Magichess Coin gains from economic relics.
