In season 3, due to the rotation of Elemental Affinities and the introduction of more new heroes, we will have to change the way we build our lineups to take on new challenges in the Pillar of Trial. In Pillar of Taint, both you and your opponent must use only Ice and Poison heroes. In this guide, we'll showcase several lineups perfect for taking on the challenge of Pillar of Taint. Additionally, we'll offer suggestions and examples for your reference.

Reward OverviewAll the rewards from F1 to F60 combined are Affinity Solvent ×25,000, Starlight Stone Dice ×12, Heliolite Dice ×3, Essence of Creation ×4,600, Wyrmarrow ×360, Large EXP Potion ×38, Apprentice Scroll ×3, Scholar Scroll ×2, Master Scroll ×1, Precious Tempering Sand ×40, Philosopher's Stone III ×10, Refined Tempering Sand ×20, and Philosopher's Stone II ×5. When you have completed 60 floors in Pillar of Trial, you'll get the Necrosis support hero, Baelvernal.

When you have completed 180 floors in Pillar of Trial, you'll get the legendary Artifact, Elite's Key.

Boss Information
Each floor in the Pillar of Trial consists of 3 waves. Every 10 floors at the third wave, there is a boss fight. The Pillar of Taint boss fights include Pillar Warden: Tainted and two Poison elements. Here are the in-game mechanics and how you can handle these enemies:

Recommended Lineups
Detail Notes 1. The gameplay of Pillar of Trial mainly tests your team's AoE burst damage capability. If you can eliminate multiple enemies in the first round after you use your ultimate skills, the challenge difficulty will significantly decrease. Therefore, it's recommended that you build teams around the Frost, Poison, and Corrosion factions and focus on DPS. 2. The skill level of your heroes is very important. After level 40, if the skill level of the ultimate skill is low, it will be difficult to take action before the enemy uses their ultimate skill. 3. In a boss fight (every 10 floors), considering the boss is immune to all control effects, it is recommended that you replace controller heroes with debuff-inflicting support heroes who can inflict Attack Penalty for this challenge. 4. It's recommended to stack Accuracy for heroes whose ultimate skills can deal multiple instances of damage. Also, equip Witch's Remains or Crown of the Unclean to those heroes to raise the team's damage output. 5. Even on floor 60, the monsters have only 250 Resistance. If your heroes who are responsible for inflicting debuffs have more than 280 Accuracy, you can consider removing some equipment with Accuracy as its main affix and stacking other attributes instead.
Poison:
Poison heroes generally have good sustained AoE damage dealing capability. If your team is well-developed, use the ultimate skills of Durango, Twitch, and Lothair in that order can almost instantly eliminate all enemies within range besides the boss while also dealing high DoT to the boss. This build is highly recommended. Hero Recommendations:

Frost:
Frost heroes can deal high skill damage to enemies in a wide range, and the epic heroes of this element have strong combat capabilities, making them suitable for playing the Pillar of Trial. Hero Recommendations:

Ice Blast:
Ice Blast heroes excel in confronting a single boss but face challenges in the Pillar of Trial due to the high number of minions in each round, including the boss levels which require you to defeat two waves of minions before fighting the boss. Although heroes of this faction can freely target enemies and focus fire with their ultimate skills, the survival pressure on the team is raised at higher levels if they cannot eliminate more than two enemies before the enemy uses their ultimate skills. You should steer away from this comp unless you have enough of this faction's legendary heroes while also lacking the important heroes of other factions. Hero Recommendations:

Corrosion:
The Corrosion faction is a powerful addition to the world of DPS this season, featuring heroes with exceptional sustained AoE damage dealing capabilities and can inflict high burst damage on enemies affected by Corrosion. It's highly effective for eliminating minions or fighting bosses, strongly recommended for you. Hero Recommendations:

Alternate Legendary Heroes:
In addition to the previously mentioned legendary heroes, the following are also highly suitable for playing the Pillar of Taint. If you find your team under significant survival pressure during the challenge, consider swapping some of the damage heroes for the following:

Examples:
*This demo lineup is a Poison lineup.

Key Takeaways1. Taking this Poison DPS lineup as an example. With Frurbath tanking most of the incoming damage, placing Lothair and Durango in positions where they are not immediately targeted by enemies allows them to dish out enough damage. The demo lineup can complete auto-combat up to level 40. Beyond that point, you should pay attention to positioning and skill timing. 2. After level 40, if you feel the survival pressure is too high with Frurbath tanking damage alone, you can replace Durango or Twitch with Ergander. As a tank hero, Ergander has strong survival capabilities to help share the incoming damage with Frurbath, able to taunt enemies over a wide area with his ultimate skill. He can also use his battle skill to reduce the enemies' Ultimate Energy, delaying their ultimate skills. 3. After F40, you'll have to take the wheel and start manually using ultimate skills. Prioritize killing back-row enemies, but when there are only 1 to 2 heroes left on the enemy side, you should slow down the pace to make sure that all your heroes have their ultimate skills ready before the next wave of enemies arrives. 4. You can flexibly adjust positions to attract enemies, allowing Durango, Twitch, and Lothair's ultimate skills to hit 3 to 5 enemies simultaneously, but you should prioritize Durango's ultimate skill to inflict Poison on enemies in a wide range and trigger the artifact effect of Witch's Remains and apply a Defense Penalty. Twitch uses his ultimate skill on enemies within the same range to continue inflicting Poison and triggers the Ri'kir Poison Dart artifact effect to reduce enemy HP. Finally, Lothair uses his ultimate skill to instantly kill enemies within range. 5. When Lothair and Durango use their ultimate skills, they will move to another position. Ensure they can hit the target while moving as close as possible to Frurbath's healing range.

Equipment:
Description: If you have Mythic Equipment like the Energy Harvester, Precisive Carnage Gauntlets, and Moonlight Mantle that matches the attributes of the heroes in your lineup, it's highly recommended that you equip it as it significantly improves your team's overall strength.
