Hello everyone, I'm Squid! With the new season, the land of Adenthia has introduced 15 new Legendary heroes and 3 new build types: Aura, Corrosion, and Shadow. 1. Introduction to new mechanics and hero skills. 2. Team strategies and equipment setups, broken down into high, medium, and mid-to-low configurations. 3. In-game demonstration, including stage progression and boss battles. 4. A summary of the above 3 parts.
I. New Mechanics and Hero Skills
1. New Mechanics - [Aura Value] and [Blaze] State
Two points to note here: ① Aura heroes need to accumulate [Aura Value] during battle. When [Aura Value] reaches a certain level (usually 100), Aura heroes will enter [Blaze] state. ② In [Blaze] state, Aura heroes can enhance their skills by consuming [Aura Value], typically resulting in increased skill damage or overall hero damage. Once the [Aura Value] is fully depleted, the hero exits the [Blaze] state and begins to accumulate [Aura Value] again by casting skills...
2. Hero Skills
As resources are incredibly scarce in the early game, players are often limited to developing a single hero to serve as the team's main damage dealer. I'll compare the damage output data of 3 Legendary heroes to determine who should receive the most resource allocation. The criteria for this comparison are as follows: ① Hero level at Lv.50. ② Inspiration full (Lv.5). ③ Dummies are set up for both single-target and multi-target (5 targets) scenarios. ④ No food or equipment used. ⑤ Dummies at Lv.50, with a fixed test duration of 2 minutes.
The results are as follows: Single-target dummies

Multi-target dummies:

We can see that in both single-target and multi-target scenarios, Aemonleyda's DPS significantly surpasses the other two, with a difference of 57.7% and 108.4% for single targets, and 87.4% and 156.6% for multiple targets, respectively.
From this data, we conclude that among the 3 Legendary [Aura] heroes, Aemonleyda should be the primary focus of our early resource allocation.
II. Team Strategies and Equipment Setups
1. Skill AnalysisAfter selecting a hero, we need to look at the specifics of their skills, which include:

There are a few key points to note: ① Aemonleyda's Aura is only effective in City of Trials but reaches an unrivalled level of 45%, indicating that this hero is particularly well-suited for adventures within City of Trials. These typically include the Fey areas and the Pillar of Trial in the mid to late game, both of which present great challenges. ② When Aemonleyda's HP drops below 30%, she enters a 5-second Invincibility state, during which all damage she deals is critical damage. Given the game's mechanics where monsters tend to target melee heroes first, new melee damage dealers need some self-preservation ability. Aemonleyda's passive Invincibility ensures she won't be the first to fall in tough battles. Moreover, even if the main tank falls in a prolonged battle, Aemonleyda can temporarily act as an off-tank, fighting to the death against remaining enemies. ③ The damage output cycle for [Aura] heroes goes like this: accumulate Aura Value, enter the [Blaze] state to deal burst damage, and then start over once the Aura Value is depleted.
2. Team StrategyEarly explorations and progression often present challenges such as: ① Slow resource acquisition, which makes it impossible to develop multiple main heroes simultaneously. ② Slow stage progression due to poorly built lineups, such as weak AOE capabilities or front-row tanks with insufficient damage absorption. ③ Slow dungeon progression, such as when clearing Goblin Lairs or tackling the 3 Elemental Domain bosses and 3 equipment acquisition dungeon bosses. This can significantly slow down your overall progress.
Completing daily quests and using up your daily allotment of 150 Stamina to farm resources from dungeons, like EXP and equipment, are essential ways to gain resources in the early game. To address these issues, try the following strategies: ① Build an effective lineup: In the early game, when the survival of your team is at stake, it's advisable to structure your team with either 1 tank, 2 supports, and 2 damage dealers, or 2 tanks, 2 damage dealers, and 1 support. And depending on the number of monsters on the field, deploy characters with strong AOE and Control abilities. ② It's advisable to invest resources in your front-row tanks at first since they form the bedrock of your team. If the tanks cannot sustain damage long enough for the rest of the team to cast their ultimate skills, it means not enough resources have been invested in them.
3. Team BuildingI'll provide detailed lineup builds centered around Aemonleyda, including equipment and attributes. I'll be focusing on heroes up to Lv.50 for both general stage progression and boss fights. These lineups range from low to high configurations.

Mid-to-Low Lineup:Recommended lineup for clearing stages:

Alternative heroes for boss fights: Any damage dealer except Aemonleyda can be swapped out for the following heroes:

For early-game boss challenges that are beyond your level, a lineup of 1 tank, 2 supports, and 2 damage dealers is recommended. This is because, in the early game, tanks often lack tankiness and group healing can be insufficient, making it easy to lose allies in boss fights. And early losses of allies can doom the entire battle.
Medium Lineup:Recommended lineup for clearing stages: You can replace the corresponding roles in the mid-to-low lineup with the following heroes:

Recommended lineup for boss fights: Replace a support or damage dealer with the following characters:

For a medium lineup, stability is key. It's smart to allocate early resources to Garius, who serves as the team's main tank and healer. The stronger his DEF, the more significant his impact on the battlefield. As the cornerstone of any team, investing in your main tank early on makes perfect sense.
High Lineup:Recommended lineup for clearing stages: You can replace the damage dealers and tanks mentioned above with the following heroes:

Recommended lineup for boss fights: For specific boss fights, such as the Blood Prince or those with numerous buffs, consider swapping in the following supports:
Early on, it's wise to focus on developing Khrysos. Once you've progressed to a point where your team's survival is secure, shift your resources toward Aemonleyda. This is because Khrysos plays an invaluable role, effectively acting as a main tank, half a support, and half a damage dealer combined.
III. In-Game DemonstrationIn the demonstration, I'll use a mid-to-low lineup to demonstrate specific positioning and skill timing. The characters and equipment are as follows:
1. Stage ProgressingWe've chosen the Lv.50 map—Path of Perpetual Return, as shown:

Here's the positioning:

Let the main tank Garius engage minions first and stack his passive skill. Position the support Caledo in the middle so he can heal as many heroes as possible with his ultimate skill. Use the same positioning as shown when facing elite monsters at the end of the stage.

You can choose to cast your ultimate skill when the boss summons minions, or when snakes gather around the boss, to prevent back-row casualties.
Recommended Aura: 24% AOE DEF boost. Recommended Buffing Food: Food that adds DEF and HP.
2. Lv.50 Tempest DomainSince we are challenging the Lv.50 Tempest Domain, we temporarily remove the Artifacts and keep the lineup unchanged. The positioning is as follows:

Spread out to prevent the skill shown below from stunning and killing your back-row supports.

In the boss fight, it's important to manually cast the ultimate skills of the two damage dealers. When the boss casts the 3rd skill, 3 summoned units will appear. If they are not eliminated within a set time, they will stack healing for the boss.
Recommended Aura: 24% AOE ATK boost. Recommended Buffing Food: Food that adds ATK.
3. Lv.75 Grave of VenomThe main challenge early on in Grave of Venom boss fight is dealing with the 4 Poison units on top of the boss's attacks. Such high-frequency damage is tough to counter. However, with Garius as your main tank who can stack buffs under heavy damage, you can navigate through the boss fight with ease. Here's the positioning:

Reducing the number of Poison units on the field is our primary goal. The fewer Poison units there are, the lower the pressure on our healers. Thus, I position the heroes on the same side so they can focus attacks on the Poison units. Important note: When the boss has fewer than 2 debuffs, it will target a random team member with its third skill, which deals high damage. Thus, it's advised to manually cast your back-row support's ultimate skill when non-tank team members' HP approaches 50% to avoid overlap with Garius's ultimate skill.
IV. Summary[Aura] damage dealers have the advantage of significantly boosting their damage while in [Blaze] state. As a result, while not in [Blaze] state, [Aura] characters have very stable damage output outside and their ultimate skills lack burst damage. Also, note that Aemonleyda needs assistance from the other two Legendary [Aura] characters; otherwise, it will take longer for Aemonleyda to enter [Blaze] state, and the [Blaze] state will last shorter.
In essence, [Aura] damage dealers may start off roughly, and their performance tends to improve later in the game. This is similar to the [Rally] build—another branch of Radiance—where characters rely on the [Rally] buff to boost their damage output significantly. However, there's a difference: [Aura] teams sustain high damage output for longer periods in [Blaze] state, and even their battle skills can deal high damage while in such a state; whereas [Rally] teams achieve their peak damage through precise timing of their ultimate skills.
That concludes our hero development guide for now. Stay tuned for my upcoming guides on Dragonheir! |
