[The Fey Meander] F101 to F180 Guide

Hello, SQUID here. Today, I'm bringing you a guide for Fey Meander F101 to F180, covering both stage clearing and boss fights. This guide is divided into 4 parts:
1) Introduction to the mechanics and rewards of the Fey Meander.
2) Boss skills and ways to counter them.
3) Artifact recommendations, lineup builds, positioning for stage clearing, and boss fight tactics.
4) A summary of the above three parts.

I. Gameplay, Mechanics, and Rewards

1. Gameplay

Once you get into the Fey Meander, you'll be teleported to a special area consisting of several floating islands connected together by vines.

You need to defeat enemies on various islands to earn rewards and access the passage to the next floor. There are 4 battles (including boss fights), and each floor usually has 2-3 chests.

2. Mechanics

The Fey Meander has 2 challenge modes:
① The Standard Fey Meander has 180 floors. After each floor is cleared, you'll obtain additional rewards. Every 10 floors, there will be a boss fight. The boss fights are different for floors that are odd multiples of 10 and even multiples of 10. We'll get to more of this in the 3rd section.
② The Labyrinth of Curiosities. For every 10 floors of Standard Fey Meander cleared, you get to access a floor of Labyrinth of Curiosities. These two types of Meander are roughly the same except that the Labyrinth of Curiosities has special requirements for your hero lineup. For example, there is a limit to how many legendary heroes you can use or a limit to the attributes of your heroes.

3. Rewards

Each floor in Pillars of Trial yields rewards after you complete it. The rewards come in various types. Usually, they are hero growth materials, such as EXP, Artifact enhancement materials, and gear crafting materials. For every 10 floors completed, the player receives a Heliote Dice.
Additionally, the Fey Meander offers extra rewards as follows:
① After clearing 60 floors of the Standard Fey Meander, you get the epic hero, Ghellid.

② After clearing 180 floors of the Standard Fey Meander, you get the legendary Artifact, Ravatrix's Roots.

③ After clearing 7 floors of the Labyrinth of Curiosities, you get Fungal Spider Mother - Avatar.

④ After clearing 12 floors of the Labyrinth of Curiosities, you get Fungal Spider Mother - Frame.

II. Boss Skills

1. BOSS: Fungle Spider Mother

There are a few things to keep in mind here:
① The boss will continuously inflict a debuff on your allies, which needs to be dispelled through healing.
② The enemy will frequently spawn summoned units, posing a significant threat.
③ The boss's fourth skill deals extremely high damage to your allies, which needs to be mitigated using damage reduction skills.

Countermeasures:
① Deploy heroes with continuous AOE healing capabilities to reduce the debuff stacks so that the buff won't reach 100 stacks and kill your heroes.
② Deploy heroes with AOE capabilities to quickly eliminate the enemy's summoned units.
③ Deploy heroes with shields or the ability to enhance AOE DEF to minimize the damage from the boss's fourth skill.

2. Boss: Revatrix

There are a few things to keep in mind here:
① The boss continuously inflicts [Poison] DoT on your allies and gains a permanent damage buff as a result.
② The boss's third skill deals high damage.

Countermeasures:
① Deploy heroes with AOE healing and AOE debuff dispelling abilities.
② Deploy heroes with AOE shielding and AOE DEF boosting abilities.

III. Artifact Recommendations, Lineup Builds, and Recommended Heroes

In the current patch, the Fey Meander has the following features:
① It's mostly encounters with 4 to 5 mobs in each fight.
② There are 2 types of boss fights at different difficulty levels.
③ The mobs become more powerful as you climb the floors.

Based on the information mentioned above, here's how we can better prepare ourselves.
① Pick heroes with AOE abilities.
② Pick heroes who can deal high damage to single targets and heroes with abilities to boost your team's survivability (e.g., the ability to grant Shield to allies or restore HP to allies).
④. Deploy characters capable of frequently inflicting strong Control effects. In the later stages of the Fey Domain, both minions and bosses deal incredibly high damage. Reducing the frequency of enemy damage during minion encounters can greatly ease the pressure on your survival.
③ Dynamically adjust your lineup based on the floors.
Based on my testing results , theBurn, Thunderbolt, and Ice heroes are more in sync with the overall pace of the Fey Meander. These three types of heroes all have outstanding AOE capabilities and can achieve great results with a simple lineup. The following lineup is built around these heroes. For Artifact and lineup recommendations, I will differentiate between common stage-clearing lineups and boss-fight lineups, as there may be significant differences between these two. That's because after F100, and particularly after F140, boss skills can be very deadly, and a slight misstep could cost many allies.

Recommended mainstay Artifacts for clearing stages:

Recommended Artifacts for boss fights:

① Fire Build

Recommended lineup for clearing stages:

Optional characters:

Positioning and details:

Huldork's ultimate has a Stun effect and a 50% damage bonus against melee enemies, so place him in the middle of the second row. Aschetius can be placed anywhere on the field, but not in the first and second rows—this is to prevent him from drawing aggro more quickly than the tank, which could cause you to lose allies.

Recommended Aura: 45% AOE DEF boost.
Recommended Buffing Food: Food that adds ATK and Fire Damage.

Recommended lineup for boss fights:
① BOSS: Fungle Spider Mother
Keep Khrysos, Karf, and Aschetius, and replace the other two supports with the following heroes:

Here's the positioning:

When fighting the boss Fungle Spider Mother, it's best to manually cast ultimate skills, as we need to focus on the boss's third and fourth skills. The boss's third skill will spawn many summoned units on the field. If they're not cleared in time, the teammate with the most stacks of Fungle poison has a high chance of being instantly killed by the boss's fourth skill.
Therefore, Utior's ultimate skill must be used before the boss's fourth skill is cast, while Aschetius and Karf's ultimate skills can be used immediately after the boss casts the third skill to instantly clear the summoned units. Torrin's ultimate skill can be used as needed to keep your team's overall HP above 70%.

Recommended Aura: 45% AOE DEF boost.
Recommended Buffing Food: Food that adds HP and DEF.

② Boss: Revatrix
Replace Elminster and Huldork in the stage-clearing lineup with the following two heroes:

Here's the positioning:

The boss's first skill has a limited range. As shown above, the positioning ensures that the boss's first skill can only affect either the front 2 heroes or the bottom right 2 heroes, and is unable to expand its range. Meanwhile, since the boss's second skill will snatch the current target, and successfully stunning the target will expand its range to the heroes on both sides. Thus, the main tank must stack Resistance to around 300 to stay immune to the boss's second skill, and then you can proceed to defeat the boss step by step.

Recommended Aura: 45% AOE DEF boost.
Recommended Buffing Food: Food that adds ATK and Fire Damage.

② Ice

Recommended lineup for clearing stages:

Here's the positioning:

Place 1 main tank in the front row. The rest can quietly perform damage-dealer and support roles in the back row. You will have more than enough healing and Shield in minion encounters.
Recommended Aura: 30% AOE ATK boost.
Recommended Buffing Food: Food that adds ATK and Ice Damage.

Recommended lineup for boss fights:
① BOSS: Fungle Spider Mother
Replace Elecebre and Lossenia with the following two heroes:

Here's the positioning:

Pay attention to the boss's third and fourth skills. Aside from Acilia's ultimate skill, the rest of the team's ultimate skills should be used after the boss casts the third skill. This way, you can instantly clear the boss's summoned units while countering the boss's massive ultimate skill damage with damage reduction and shields. That's killing two birds with one stone. Placing the back-row heroes in the same corner is also for the convenience of clearing the boss's summoned units with Auster's ultimate in one go.

Recommended Aura: 45% AOE DEF boost.
Recommended Buffing Food: Food that adds ATK and Ice Damage.

② Boss: Revatrix
The main tank in the stage-clearing lineup can be replaced with the following hero:

Here's the positioning:

The positioning is the same as that of the Burn team. This is to minimize the impact of the boss's first skill on the team. The Ice team will also have an easier time in this battle because the main tank Acilia's ultimate skill has a continuous AOE debuff dispelling effect that can limit the boss's [Poison] DoT and fourth skill damage. Plus, we have 3 back-row damage dealers, so killing the boss will be a breeze.

Recommended Aura: 30% AOE ATK boost.
Recommended Buffing Food: Food that adds ATK and Ice Damage.

③Thunderbolt

Here's the positioning:

As usual, the main tank stays in the first row, bearing all the damage. Shai'nachtan can be placed in any other row. Since the back row deals full-screen damage, there's no need to adjust their positioning.

Recommended Aura: 24% AOE HP boost.
Recommended Buffing Food: Food that adds ATK and Lightning Damage.

Recommended lineup for boss fights:
① BOSS: Fungle Spider Mother
Replace Natheniel and Tamar with the following two heroes:

Here's the positioning:

The positioning here is not much different from in minion encounters. In terms of timing, you still need to pay attention to the boss's third and fourth skills. And it's still recommended to manually cast skills. After the boss casts the third skill, except for Zeffi's ultimate skill which needs to be saved for later, the ultimate skills of the remaining four heroes should be used to the full extent. Oggok's ultimate skill will keep the team from being wiped out by the boss's devastating fourth skill. However, be careful of the boss's second skill [Roll Call]. The boss will continuously inflict [Roll Call] on Oggok after its third use, causing Oggok to receive high damage and be stunned. Therefore, Zeffi's ultimate skill should be used to protect Oggok. When Oggok's HP is close to 50%, Zeffi needs to manually cast the ultimate skill to prevent Oggok from being killed by the residual damage after the boss's summoned units die, and keep it up till the end of the battle.

Recommended Aura: An AOE Enlightenment boost of 60.
Recommended Buffing Food: Food that adds DEF and HP.

② Boss: Revatrix
The lineup can be the same as with [Fungle Spider Mother].
Here's the positioning:

The positioning strategy here is the same as described above. The aim is to minimize the impact of the boss's first skill on the team. With the support of Oggok and Zeffi, this boss battle will be a breeze for this team. After Oggok's ultimate skill is cast to heal the team, Oggok's passive skill can dispel debuffs from all team members, preventing the boss from continuously dealing damage to your allies. Moreover, the damage from the boss's fourth skill will also be countered by the ultimate skills of the two supports in the back row, allowing your team to easily win this boss battle.

Recommended Aura: An AOE Enlightenment boost of 60.
Recommended Buffing Food: Food that adds ATK and Lightning Damage.

IV. Summary

Among the three teams (Burn, Ice, Thunderbolt), the Burn team has the highest stage-clearing efficiency, because under the support of Karf, Aschetius's ultimate skill can instantly clear the screen. However, as Aschetius is a front-row melee hero, in some minion encounters, there is a possibility of being accidentally injured and killed due to being swarmed by enemies. The Thunderbolt team with Shai'nachtan faces a similar situation. But the Ice team has no such worries when clearing stages—with two defensive supports and the tank's ultimate skill healing, their overall defense is as solid as a rock. Therefore, in terms of ease of combat, I'd rank the three teams as follows: Ice > Burn >Thunderbolt.
In terms of boss fight difficulty, I believe Fungle Spider Mother is tougher than Revatrix. That's because Revatrix's [Poison] DoT is relatively easier to avoid, while Fungle Spider Mother, after F100, greatly tests your team's damage reduction capabilities and skill timing. A slight misstep could lead to the entire team being killed by the boss's fourth skill. Also, if the boss's summoned units are not properly dealt with, it will also put a lot of pressure on your team.

That's the end of this journey through the Fey Meander. I will be bringing you more guides on the weekly dungeons in Dragonheir, so stay tuned!
