Season 2 Pillar of Trial - Pillar of Dark Guide

时间:2024-03-01 10:56:55  来源:  作者:
In this season, due to the rotation of Elemental Affinities, we will have to change the way we build our lineups to take on new challenges in the Pillar of Trial. In Pillar of Dark, both you and your opponent must use only Fire and Necrosis heroes. In this guide, we'll showcase several lineups perfect for taking on the challenge of Pillar of Dark. Additionally, we'll offer suggestions and examples for your reference.

Please note that season 2 introduced the Quick Challenge feature. If you enable this feature in the nodes highlighted in the image, that will save you a lot of time.

Reward Overview
All the rewards from F1 to F60 combined are Affinity Solvent ×25,000, Starlight Dice ×12, Heliolite Dice ×3, Essence of Creation ×4,600, Wyrmarrow ×360, Large EXP Potion ×38, Apprentice Scroll ×3, Scholar Scroll ×2, Master Scroll ×1, Precious Tempering Sand ×40, Philosopher's Stone III ×10, Refined Tempering Sand ×20, and Philosopher's Stone II ×5.
When you have completed 60 floors in Pillar of Trial, you'll get the Necrosis support hero, Kyrza.

When you have completed 180 floors in Pillar of Trial, you'll get the legendary Artifact, Everlasting Diamond.

Boss Information
Each floor in the Pillar of Trial consists of 3 waves. Every 10 floors at the third wave, there is a boss fight. The Pillar of Dark boss fights include Pillar Giant Spirit: Gloomy and two Necrosis elements. Here are the in-game mechanics and how you can handle these enemies:

Recommended Lineups
Detail Notes
1. Defensive and support heroes can be substituted with other recommended legendary heroes. As for DPS heroes, feel free to replace the ones mentioned here with other characters of the same element as well.
2. In a boss fight (every 10 floors), considering the boss is immune to all control effects, it is recommended that you replace controller heroes with debuff-inflicting support heroes who can inflict Attack Penalty.
3. Try to equip Witch's Remains or Crown of the Unclean to heroes whose ultimate skills can deal damage multiple times or support heroes with high Accuracy. This will raise the team's damage output.
4. Even on floor 60, the monsters have only 250 Resistance. If your heroes who are responsible for inflicting debuffs have a lot more than 270 Accuracy, you can consider removing some equipment with Accuracy as its main affix and stacking other attributes instead.
Summon:
Summoner heroes can deal quite some AoE damage, whether it's Lelwanis, Irzillas, and Premtsa sacrificing their Summoned Units to deal AoE burst damage or Scharlach and Gaiolere duplicating large Summoned Units to deal DoT. They are a perfect fit for the Pillar of Dark, but the downside is that their burst damage isn't high enough to instantly eliminate enemies on higher floors using just a few skills, which can pose a great challenge as your heroes struggle to survive.
Hero Recommendations:

Burn
Burn heroes also excel in dealing AoE damage, and they can deal massive burst damage using Conflagration and other methods. The newly added collaboration hero, Elminster, can also gain passive skill stacks when allies inflict Burn. If you have Aschetius and a fully-fledged team, a Burn build is hands down the best choice for completing the Pillar of Dark.
Hero Recommendations:

Wild
Wild heroes are better at dealing damage to single enemies, but this means on higher floors, they can struggle to deal enough AoE damage, so I suggest against going with a Wild build.

Key Takeaways
1. Let's take a look at a summoner build. Place Lelwanis in a position on which enemies won't focus fire to make sure she has the opportunity to deal damage. Before F40, you can clear stages with ease using auto-combat. When your heroes don't find it hard to survive, you can give Irzillas equipment that boosts survivability and make her an off-tank so you can push your team's damage output and clear stages at greater efficiency.
2. If your single tank is struggling to survive, you can reposition those heroes in a way so that Lelwanis and other support heroes can draw the aggro of 1 to 2 enemies, sharing the burden for your main tank.
Other Recommended Legendary Heroes:

3. After F40, you'll have to take the wheel and manually use the ultimate skills because the enemy Premtsa and other back-row enemies can deal very high damage with their ultimate skills, so you'll have to inflict control effects of Attack Penalty on them. When the enemies have only tanks left, you can stop using ultimate skills and slow the pace to make sure that all your heroes have their ultimate skills ready before the next wave of enemies arrives.
4. When there are multiple enemies with AoE ultimate skills or associated with Burn, you'll have to spread your heroes and reposition them from time to time to dodge incoming AoE damage.
Configurations
Basic Attributes:
When Irzillas is the main tank, your heroes should have over 100,000 HP and over 3,500 DEF.
On average, your heroes should have over 35,000 HP and over 1,300 DEF.
Equipment:

Equipment Main Affix:
Note: Aiming at completing F60, your debuff-inflicting heroes must have at least 270 Accuracy.

Floor 5

Note: Enemies have 30 Resistance, so your debuff-inflicting heroes should have at least 50 Accuracy.

Floor 10

Note: Enemies have 50 Resistance, so your debuff-inflicting heroes should have at least 70 Accuracy.

Floor 15

Note: Enemies have 50 Resistance, so your debuff-inflicting heroes should have at least 70 Accuracy.

Floor 20

Note: Enemies have 80 Resistance, so your debuff-inflicting heroes should have at least 100 Accuracy.

Floor 25

Note: Enemies have 80 Resistance, so your debuff-inflicting heroes should have at least 100 Accuracy.

Floor 30

Note: Enemies have 80 Resistance, so your debuff-inflicting heroes should have at least 100 Accuracy.

Floor 35

Note: Enemies have 150 Resistance, so your debuff-inflicting heroes should have at least 170 Accuracy.

Floor 40

Note: Enemies have 150 Resistance, so your debuff-inflicting heroes should have at least 170 Accuracy.

Floor 45

Note: Enemies have 200 Resistance, so your debuff-inflicting heroes should have at least 220 Accuracy.

Floor 50

Note: Enemies have 200 Resistance, so your debuff-inflicting heroes should have at least 220 Accuracy.

Floor 55

Note: Enemies have 200 Resistance, so your debuff-inflicting heroes should have at least 220 Accuracy.

Floor 60

Note: Enemies have 250 Resistance, so your debuff-inflicting heroes should have at least 270 Accuracy.

The fight against Quaesitia: using F59 as an example.
Quaesitia's battle skill can pull the hero farthest from her to the tile right next to hers. This skill poses a great threat to your back-row DPS heroes who are fragile. Below, I offer 3 ways to counter this enemy:
1. Stack Resistance to 260 for the back-row hero who is the farthest away from Quaesitia so that the hero won't stay under control after being pulled. By equipping gear that has Resistance as the main affix and Negative Runes, you can easily push Resistance to that threshold.

2. Adjust the positioning so that a ranged character with better survivability is the farthest from Quaesitia. If you go with this approach, you'll have to eliminate Quaesitia before she uses her battle skill for a second time.

3. Use heroes who can apply Control Immunity, such as Elminster, Irma, and Gladros. While Control Immunity is active, your heroes won't get pulled.

With the positioning you see in the image above, your DPS heroes won't be interrupted by the enemy Zhar'loth's Recharging Speed Penalty. Also, since your heroes are spread, the enemy Zhar'loth's ultimate skill cannot affect your back-row heroes, but you'll still have to slightly change such positioning as the battle unfolds.
When you struggle to survive: using F59 as an example

A summoner build is less powerful at dealing burst damage, and when you can't deal enough damage to instantly eliminate the enemies, you'll often have to take multiple ultimate skills from the enemies, which can cause death among your ranks.
When the enemies have powerful ultimate skills, you can consider leaving only one DPS hero on the team and deploying several controller heroes instead. Then, stack Accuracy to at least 270 and equip the Holy Hunter set. Let your heroes take turns to inflict control effects so the enemies cannot use their ultimate skills. That's how you can clear these stages.
