This article will walk you through some great lineups and Heroes of each element in the early game.
I. Some Great Lineups
1. In the early game, you will want to focus on exploring the in-game world, so we will be mainly talking about Heroes that are great in PvE and skip those who are better in PvP.
2. At the beginning of season 1. you'll start with fewer Heroes. So, some Heroes who rely on lineup synergies are not our go-to options.
3. Before the level of your Elemental Affinity is high enough, the 5-character Affinity effect will remain locked. That is why you should prioritize creating a 3-character Bond using your better cards in the early game. Then, add two powerful cards of any other elements, and you are good to go.
4. When developing Heroes of the two associated elements, try and make sure you are distributing resources equally among them. This will help you make the most of your Improvement Gems obtained from the Elemental Domain dungeons.
5. Some Heroes with mechanics (such as breaking shield or inflicting Healing Prohibition) are extremely useful in certain stages, so you might want to have more of them at your disposal.
6. The bosses of many challenge stages are often immune to controls, so in PvE, debuffs will usually work better than controls. For example, Attack Penalty can significantly lower the damage output of a boss and help ensure the survival of our allies. However, when it comes to buffs and debuffs, make sure you are paying attention to the impact of Accuracy and Resistance.
7. Other than some Racing dungeons (e.g., Goblin Lair) and dungeons that focus on mechanics, the survivability of your team is usually the first concern when it comes to PvE. That is why you should not only deploy great Heroes on the front row but also have at least two restoration/shielding Heroes on the team, one as a regular character and the other as a substitute.
8. Your Player Character can freely change their skillsets with up-to-standard overall strength. It is worth investing more resources on your Player Character in the early game.
