Hello, fellow Travelers! After you have arrived at Adenthia and completed the prologue storyline in Chaos Universum, you will first head to Nytheria and unlock the adventure of the Misty Forest chapter. This part of the journey will take about 5 to 8 days to play. It is also important as it can help you learn about this game.
In this article, we'll give you some tips and tricks for the early game and guide you through some of the issues you might have. We hope you find this helpful!
I. The Priority of Quests
● The Main Quests will take our adventurers through their journey and progress the storyline while guiding your Player Character to unlock new maps and learn more about the in-game world. So long as nothing else stands in your way, you should always prioritize completing Main Quests.
● When you reach certain milestones, you'll receive new tutorial quests, which will often guide you to unlock a new game mode or feature. That is why you should always complete such quests right away when you have the chance so you can unlock new modes earlier on and earn more rewards.
● You will automatically receive 2 new Commissions every day, and you can have up to 6 active Commissions at a time. Completing these will give you daily materials and Journey EXP, which can increase your Journey Level so you can more quickly unlock the main storyline as well as new modes and features. This is why you should try and complete these Commissions before the slots are full so you can get the most Journey EXP. But even if your progress falls behind, don't worry because there is an EXP compensation mechanic to help you catch up.
● While traveling Adenthia, you will activate many Side Quests. Complete them, and you'll earn additional rewards. Oftentimes, these quests won't have an impact on your main storyline progress, so you can complete them at your own leisure.
II. Roll Dice to Summon More Heroes
● In Dragonheir: Silent Gods, any Hero you get is permanent. As seasons rotate, only the Hero levels, equipment development, and other content are reset. So, feel free to collect and unlock as many Heroes as you can.
● The Main Quests and Daily Events of this game offer lots of Wyrmarrows, which you can use to buy Heliolite Dice from the daily supply station and summon Heroes.
● Some Dungeon Challenges, Commissions, and various chests hidden across Adenthia will give you Summon Dice, so don't miss out!
● The Otherworld Horn will recover energy over time. It has a chance to give you Legendary Heroes. Before you draw Heroes though, make sure to select the right Hero tags based on your needs. This will help you build a great lineup more quickly.
● There is always a Celestial Season Rotating Summon event. In each session, you can select a Legendary Hero from its pool to significantly increase that Hero's drop chance. You can consider saving on Heliolite Dice and only use them during such an event to get your favorite Heroes.
III. Select Heroes and Build a Lineup
● High-quality Heroes are often powerful. Legendary Heroes even have the inspiration mechanic, but that doesn't mean they are always your best choice in the early game. This is because some Heroes are only powerful in the arena, while some other Heroes need to be put in the right lineup the fully unleash the potential of their skills. In such cases, you should think twice before you use them in the early game.
● Make sure your lineup is all-round. Whether it's a DPS Hero, a front row Hero, or a Support Hero, they are all essential to you. If you have them all, you will be able to handle most battles.
● In certain modes, you will need to slightly adjust your lineup. For example, when tackling a Goblin Lair, you must first deploy DPS Heroes. As for Elemental Domain and some challenge game modes, you'll need to deploy Heroes of certain elements. That is why you should focus on training 5 Heroes as your main forces in the early game with 2 to 3 substitutes at the ready. However, into the late game, you'll have to build more teams, but that is what the game encourages you to do anyway.
● In the early game, you will want to prioritize getting an Elemental Affinity out of 3 Heroes so you can get attribute buffs. Meanwhile, try to get powerful Heroes on the team, and you will have yourself a good-to-go lineup. Once you have raised your Elemental Affinity level and unlocked a 5-Hero Affinity effect, you may consider activating Elemental Affinity Bonds that require more Heroes to unlock.
IV. Keep Growing Your Team
Other than spending time thinking about how to build your lineup, it is also very important that you level up your Heroes and craft powerful equipment to increase the attributes of your Heroes. With greater strength, you can complete difficult challenges earlier on to earn more resources. Here's what you can do:
● Complete Dungeon - Goblin Lair (EXP Dungeon) to farm for EXP Potions. This is crucial to leveling up your Heroes.
● Complete Dungeon - Elemental Domain (Improvement Dungeon) to earn Elemental Gems, which are necessary items for you to improve your Heroes.
● Complete Dungeon - The Three Tombs (Equipment Dungeon) to get equipment or equipment forging materials of specific types. Other than that, you can also Refine your equipment to further increase its attributes.
● Using skill scrolls can level up the skills of your Heroes and unlock more powerful skill effects (but resetting these effects will have a cost, so choose wisely). You can spend Gold to raise the Refinement level of your equipment to get better attribute bonuses. Also, you can earn Affinity Solvents from various quests and use them to activate extra Elemental Affinity effects. Into the late game, you'll also unlock Artifact and Rune equipment, which is worth investing your resources in.
V. Switch the Elements of Your Player Character
In Dragonheir: Silent Gods, your Player Character is a special Hero. He has the same development path as every other Hero, but you can change his element. This is why he is such a versatile unit in the early game. Your Player Character has the following advantages:
● You can change the element of your Player Character based on the needs of your lineup to create more powerful Elemental Affinity Bonds;
● You can change the element of your Player Character based on each battle to fill the empty roles of your team. For example, if it is survivability you need, you can select the Ice element to grant Shield to your team. Similarly, if your damage output is too low, you can opt for the Fire element to make up for that, and so on.
● Your Player Character can balance the usage of Hero Improvement Gems. Each Elemental Domain dungeon will yield two types of Improvement Gems. The development progress of Heroes of each element may vary, so you'll often find that you have too many of one type of Improvement Gems while not having enough of another type of Improvement Gems. This is where your Player Character comes into play. You can change his element before you spend materials on him, so you can balance the usage of your Improvement items.
