Combat System Introduction

时间:2023-09-18 16:34:28  来源:  作者:

The combat system is an important part of Dragonheir: Silent Gods. You can mobilize your Heroes on chess boards of various shapes and sizes to fight monsters or other players in an intense real-time battle. The various strategies and tactics derived from such gameplay often bring a more fun and exciting experience to our players.

This article will walk you through the combat system of this game.

I. Combat Settings

The battles in Dragonheir: Silent Gods often take place on a 5x8 rectangular board. Usually, allies start from the left side while enemies start from the right side.

Of course, this is but the basic mode of this battle board. Along your adventure, you'll also discover many board variants, such as a board where you are surrounded by monsters and have to fight enemies coming at you from all directions...

Also, while you are exploring the world, you may also run into skirmishes of Hold The Line. In this case, your only objective is to eliminate multiple waves of enemies and stop them from reaching their destination.

Additionally, some in-game stages require you to go through multiple battles without stopping. This is when the durability of your team matters the most.

II. Battle Preparation

Before a battle begins, you must make sure you are well-prepared.

First of all, you will select 5 Heroes, deploy them, and adjust their positioning. When dragging a Hero, you'll see an aggro line between your selected Hero and each enemy. This line represents the prioritized target of each unit once the battle begins.

*The selected friendly Hero's target is connected by a yellow line, while the enemies' targets are connected by red lines. If two units are targeting each other, the line is purple.

Also, don't forget to heal friendly Heroes that are at low HP. Tap the plus sign above a Hero who is missing some HP to heal them. You can also select and use medicine from the right side of the Battle Preparation page. Not only that, you can use buffing Food to grant the associated attribute bonuses to your entire team for a while.

If several of the deployed Heroes have a Captain Aura, the players must access the Aura Details page on the right-hand side and select one of them to be the active Aura Skill for this round.

Know yourself and know the enemy, and you can fight a hundred battles with no danger of defeat. Before a battle begins, make sure to check out the enemies' information. This can often help you arrange your formation accordingly to significantly increase your odds. Such information can be easily accessed by tapping the Info button in the upper right!

III. Real-time Combat

Once a battle has begun, you can control the game mainly by choosing when to use your Heroes' ultimate skills on which targets.

During the entire battle, the Ultimate Energy of both allies and enemies will be visible below their HP bars. In the bottom right, you can also see how the friendly Heroes have been recharging. In a non-PvP battle, the enemies will use their ultimate skills immediately after they have finished recharging. As for the ultimate skills of friendly Heroes, you can manually use them. Choosing your targets based on the current situation will often help you get an advantage.

In some easier battles or regular Dungeons that require multiple runs, you can enable the Auto Spellcasting mode for the friendly Heroes to automatically use their ultimate skills on the right targets once they've finished recharging. Also, you can enable the 2x Speed mode to hugely increase the Dungeon run efficiency.

IV. Special Monsters, Terrains, and Items

On the continent of Adenthia, adventurers will often find themselves fighting in unexpected environments. Perhaps just as you are about to open a chest, you'll get jumped at by a Mimic.

If the battle board has spring water on it, Heroes near that spring water will get to enjoy additional bonuses. Use this to your advantage to make battles easier! Also, while you are exploring the world, you may run into special helpers who can aid you in combat.

There are usually various obstacles and traps in battles, including barrels that explode when they take a hit and other special terrains and items. They add a lot more possibilities to the game, but using them well will help you greatly! Also, when there is a Roper among the enemies, it will extend its tentacles forward at the start of combat to drag the first target it reaches and deal extremely high damage to them. You must arrange your formation accordingly to try and dodge this threat.

Other than the cases mentioned above, there are many more monsters with other special mechanics that are tricky and treacherous to deal with. For example, an Imitator will shapeshift into your friendly Hero that is the closest to it at the start of combat, which is why you must adjust the formation and positioning accordingly to minimize the strength of that Imitator.

That's about it for our showcase of various combat scenarios in Dragonheir: Silent Gods. There are more interesting game modes waiting for you to explore them and have fun. Moreover, the gambits of your Hero lineups and formations are versatile and a lot of fun. Your imagination is the limit. Come up with your own playstyles and builds. You just might become the number one master of strategies on the continent of Adenthia one day!
